What is the knowledge of Civil Engineering? Have you experienced earthquake or typhoon damages in the area you grew up? Any clogged roads or polluted rivers? Civil Engineering requires wide range of knowledge and experiences that can prevent disasters and pollutions. It can also bring us safe and comfortable living environment.

We have environment planning, urban and management courses to achieve the goals of the young civil engineers and to answer social needs. Each course has its own solid and characteristic curriculum in order to achieve learning and educational objectives. In addition, civil engineering department has freshman seminar, carrier design, internship, and graduation work, with the aim to create young engineers who have qualifications and knowledge, and become practical engineers abounding in ingenuity. Especially in internship, students have one month of work experience in government sectors, construction companies, consultants, and engineering-related companies in their third grade so that they can understand the basic knowledge of management and safety administration. This experience gives students understanding of the basic ability in the real world. Moreover, we expect that the new research building can increase students’ study ability on their graduation work.

Besides, we have high rates of employment among students in the government sectors, private enterprises, and engineering-related enterprises not only in the metropolitan areas but also all over the country. This network with former students active in the field is most important when we deal with students, whom we would like to foster as practical engineers with management abilities.
